Did someone say beach day? Then what should you pack up? 6 essential items you should not miss out!

spend your perfect beach day in sri lanka..with all things you need!

We all love beach vacations. If you are a true beach lover, you should visit the southern beaches in Sri Lanka.  So today I’m going to tell you about what you should pack up before going to a beach in Sri Lanka. Sri Lankan beaches are very safe. So you don’t need to pack a lot of things. Just don’t forget to take these things with you when you leave your hotel room.

I suggest not to take your valuable personal belongings for a beach day. It would be really good if you can leave all your valuables safely in your hotel room. Especially if you are travelling with kids that will be a better idea.
Because when travelling with kids you will need to carry their things too. So let’s try to keep just the essentials with us to spend our perfect beach day.

beach, sand, sea

This is all you need to spend a day at the beach

  1. Flip – flops

Some may think walking barefoot on the beach is more comfortable. But it’s not always safe… so don’t forget to wear a pair of beach sandals when you walk on Sri Lankan beaches. There are a lot of sharp sea shells, sea glass, driftwood, and sharp rocks on the beaches. Wearing sandals will keep your feet safe on your beach vacation.

  1. Sunhat

“Wearing a hat is like having a baby or a puppy; everyone stops to coo and talk about it.” – Louise Green

Girls pick up a stylish beach hat in your beach vacation in Sri Lanka. It will protect you from the sun and keep your skin safe. I NEVER wear hats normally, I think they just don’t really suit me… But I never forget to take one when visiting a beach.

  1. Sunscreen & Chap Stick

Don’t forget your sunscreen! Never forget !! Cancers in skin for real girls!! And always remember to use an organic sun cream without bad chemicals. Make sure it contains SPF.

  1.  Sunglasses

“Behind the most beautiful eyes, lay secrets deeper and darker than the mysterious sea.” LoL just saying …

You have to protect your eyes from the clear sun on the beaches. Therefore don’t forget your sunglasses. Make sure your sunglasses have the protection for UV (Ultra Violet). They will help you to keep your eyes healthy.

  1. Water Bottles

Usually Sri Lanka has a hot environment and you will feel thirsty   most of the time. You will get very easily dehydrated with the sun and beach wind. So take water bottles as much as you can and don’t forget to drink more water that will keep you safe.

Use stainless steel water bottles, don’t use plastics… It’s good for you and good for the environment…

It’s better if you can fill your bottles from your hotel… buying water bottles may cost you few dollars in Sri Lanka

  1. Beach Mat or Beach Towels

Relaxing is looking at the sea when the sun is sinking down

If you love to relax on the beach, it’s better to take a beach blanket. Just keep some weights on the four corners and enjoy the heavenly breeze.

Wondering How To Carry All These??

Here is a tip.. It will be super easy to carry a backpack when you are going for a beach day. You can have your hands free and keep all your belongings safely rather than carrying too many things in hand. And if you are carrying a phone, camera, and wallet in your backpack remember to carry a separate plastic bag for your wet clothes
